  • Bay 4 Blappers Presents the Sahara Tent Friday May 18th

Don’t think we need to explain the history of the 100 year San Francisco Bay to Breakers race that pumps through the heart of our beloved city this weekend. For those of you racing – GET SOME. You are the reason this race continues to strive and why the rest get to celebrate.  The Friday before Bay to Breakers has always been the day to get after it, in preparation of the big day SUDNAY.

This year we are going bigger with 4 rooms of music from 10pm-4am in #theTENT @1015 Folsom

YES ALL OF THOSE NAMES UNDER ONE ROOF CELEBRATING THE SAHARA TENT AT COACHELLA. HERE’S SOME JAMS TO GET YOU A LITTLE MORE FAMILIAR:

Dave, aka SWITCH and also known as Solid Groove, has created his own type of innovative jacking house that draws from all the best bits of electronic music. He’s one of the U.K.’s most prominent electronic producers and the pioneer of fidget house. Switch has remixed for everyone from Lily Allen to Black Ghosts to Bjork and produced for the likes of M.I.A. and Santigold. His Dubsided record label continues to flourish, with releases from the likes of Sinden, Trevor Loveys and Jesse Rose, and more. Named XLR8R’s Artist of the Year in 2007, he hasn’t stopped! Plus, his ever popular project, Major Lazer, with partner, Diplo has received international acclaim and rave reviews.

Top that with the UK’s wonder boy, SINDEN, renown for his genre-blending DJ sets, cracklin’ hot radio show, his banging remixes, and for being the Sinden in hotly tipped ‘The Count & Sinden’ and, alongside Herve rounds out the bill. His DJ career sees him criss-crossing the globe turning clubs on their heads with his fresh, eclectic sound, and throwing Count & Sin- den’s Mega Warehouse parties in the UK.!

ANNA LUNOE, the up and coming, Aussie born dy- namo, who’s been leaving a trail of exhausted and ecstatic crowds wherever she goes. She’s a festival staple with multiple appearances at Big Day Out, Splendour in the Grass, Parklife, Field Day, Falls Festival & more, steadily moving closer to the top of bill with each passing year. When artists like Diplo, Daft Punk, Switch, Calvin Harris, A-trak or Soulwax come to town it’s more than likely Anna’s on support, throwing down a set that has the crowds and the main act talking for days. Her 2011 collaboration with Wax Motiff, helped put her on the map.

  • Clockwork – NYC to LA to DA BAY Electro Swagger

Now that the ULTRA living room parties have ended (that UMFTV deal was pretty effing dope, especially the sound quality!), it’s time to PARTY FOR REAL. We have a very special treat for all y’all this Thursday at Manor West, as BLAP’s current collab with EyeHeartSF, THUNDERGOD, brings you one of electro’s fastest rising young guns, CLOCKWORK, for his SAN FRANCISCO DEBUT.

Now everyone is probably wondering what the magical song was that Avicii kept playing for 20 minutes at the end of his ULTRA set on Saturday and the song that David Guetta did that incredible mixing job with on Sunday (that was embarrassing for all DJs around the world).

OK – kidding aside – “Levels” became an EDM crossover to pop anthem this year, and for all of still caught in between whether or not we are happy that EDM is becoming mainstream or not, Clockwork’s Level’s RMX saved the day.

Clockwork first popped on the BLAPdar with posts from the homies over at Gotta Dance Dirty. His unique hard hitting sound first started bugging the neighbors with his original mix “Airflow,” his remix of Kelis’ 2010 summer hit “4th of July” and his killer remix that won the “Dem Slackers” remix competition last year.

Listening one can tell that Clockwork has avoided the onslaught of chainsaws & whistles we hear too much these days, and we have continued to look out for the young gun’s productions. To say Clockwork’s tracks KNOCK is an understatement, showcasing on the HARD line up this past year and releases on DIM MAK, and the big room sounds of his original tracks like “Weaver” has got us PUMPED for Thursday.

The 21 year-old has recently been getting support from the likes of Laidback Luke, Hardwell, Steve Aoki, Dada Life and Dillon Francis and throwing down track after track, most recently with his mega EP for “Squad Up”. “Squad Up” itself along with “Hulk” have been two of 2012’s most talked about tracks for Clockwork, and the EP is currently listed on beatport as one of the Top 5 weekly releases.

Thursday will be unique opportunity to see one of EDM’s fastest rising up and coming producers before he blows up and to say the least this party is gonna be FUN AS FOOK.
